年前，许知意和陆南风大学毕业后，携手一起创业。正当两人事业迎来曙光，憧憬未来的幸福生活时，陆南风却被检查出心脏病，如果不换心脏，将会迎来死亡。许知意为了爱人能活下去，毅然决然选择将自己的心脏换给陆南风，而自己则更换了人工心脏。。本劇描述居住在台灣的外籍移工故事。越南男人黎文誠為了家鄉的父母妻子，來到台灣、登上了漁船，成了台灣的漁工，狹仄的船艙裡頭還擠著另外兩個同樣來自越南的漁工阿海、昌文。文誠和阿海臭味相投，成為好友，也是受到排擠欺負時，互吐苦水的難兄難弟。。Dr Nikki Alexander and Jack Hodgson are looking forward to the future. However buried secrets and memories soon surface, and, when ghosts from the past emerge, the two are forced increasingly close to one another.
