大陆女孩蓝蓝，抱着满腔理想到伦敦学习音乐，但去后却感寸步难行，幸得中年留学生刘利年之助才安顿下来。赞助蓝蓝赴英留学的华侨其实是想替他儿子查理娶媳妇，但蓝蓝心高气傲加以拒绝，宁愿与刘利年和另一留学生陈大明合作做中国菜外卖维生。两颗寂寞的心在异乡煎熬，却敌不过生活的残酷。蓝蓝最后还是答应嫁给查理，却将初夜给了她所爱的刘利年。。Set in 1978, the film marks the fourth joint effort between Monzón and Jorge Guerricaechevarría, and tells the action-packed, adrenaline-fuelled story of 17-year-old Nacho Cañas, an introverted student who lives in Girona and who is something of a misfit.
