A film about existence, on the boundaries between...。儿子打算把家里的老藏獒卖给乡上的狗贩子，父亲坚持留住这只老狗，并在路上追回准备把狗卖掉的儿子与那只藏獒。接着，老人把狗藏在山上。然而放到山上的藏獒再次被别人卖到狗贩子的手里，即将被运往内地作为宠物。儿子为了要回藏獒与狗贩子发生冲突，最后被警察拘留，年迈的父亲无奈中不得不做出艰难的决定。。世界遭受了未知生物的袭击，一片荒芜。此时，由男女主角（阿豪和小琴）等八人组成的特种部队，致力于追寻未世的原因及解决办法。这支部队利用先进战车及武器，追寻线索追查各地，遭遇了各种各样的外来生物。为了保卫人类及地球生态链，队员们奋起与外来生物斗智斗勇，并将它们消灭，同时也解救了危难中的民众。。
